The American Green Tree Frog is a small, bright green frog you might spot clinging to windows or plants near ponds and streams. They eat insects like crickets and moths, which makes them helpful neighbors in your yard. Always wash your hands after touching any frog, since their skin can be sensitive and mild secretions may bother your eyes if you rub them.
A green tree frog can cling upside down on a smooth glass window because each tiny toe pad is packed with thousands of microscopic suction-cup cells filled with sticky mucus.
