Iguanas are big lizards often seen in Florida, known for their green skin and long tails. While they usually keep to themselves, they can bite or scratch if they feel scared, so it's best to admire them from a distance.
Whoa! If an iguana feels threatened, it can drop its tail to escape, and a new one will grow back!
Treat it with respect, keep your distance, and tell a grown-up if you see one up close.
Always ask a grown-up before you touch any animal or plant. If something bites or stings you, tell an adult right away.
