Antigone canadensis

Taller than most kids and usually very calm, but a parent guarding a chick will absolutely defend it. Watch from a distance and never feed them.
They dance. Actual jumping, bowing, wing-flapping dancing, and pairs stay together for life.
Treat it with respect, keep your distance, and tell a grown-up if you see one up close.
Always ask a grown-up before you touch any animal or plant. If something bites or stings you, tell an adult right away.
