## What you should know

Often called the most dangerous bird on Earth, with a dagger-like claw on each foot. It lives in Australia and New Guinea, nowhere near Florida.

## Whoa

It has a helmet on its head made of spongy material, and scientists still argue about what it is actually for.

## Staying safe around it

Treat it with respect, keep your distance, and tell a grown-up if you see one up close.

**Always ask a grown-up before you touch any animal or plant.** If something bites or stings you, tell an adult right away.
